Drop off your luggage at the CAT Foyer in Wien Mitte before departure. City Check-in for you and your luggage is available from 24 hours to 75 minutes before departure (depending on the airline, see overview below).

CAT staff will securely store your luggage on board. Enjoy more time in the city or relax as you travel nonstop to the airport.

How does the Self Bag Drop work at Wien Mitte?

Check-in with luggage is quickly done in just 2 steps:

  1. Step: If you have already checked in online, scan your boarding pass to receive your luggage tag. Attach the luggage tag to your suitcase and proceed to the baggage drop-off area. If you haven't checked in yet, you can do so at a Self Check-in kiosk and print your boarding pass directly.

  2. Step: Please place your luggage on the conveyor belt. Scan the barcode of the luggage tag with the handheld scanner. After that, your luggage is securely processed in the baggage handling system at Vienna Airport.


Nonstop service:

  • A staff member is available for personal assistance daily between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

  • Free parking at the Wien Mitte parking garage for 60 minutes with Early Check-in starting from 6:00 PM. Please inquire at the CAT counter for the complimentary ticket. The parking garage can be accessed via Gigergasse or Ditscheinergasse.

Please note:

  • The CAT City Check-In is only available with a valid CAT ticket.

  • Check-in of large and bulky luggage is only possible at Vienna Airport.

Austrian Airlines

For Austrian Airlines (Lufthansa Airlines) flights, the following options are available at the CAT City Check-in at Wien Mitte:

  • Print your boarding pass (optional)

  • Self bag drop: printing baggage tags and subsequent baggage check-in

  • Check-in Times: 05:00 AM - 10:45 PM CET

  • Before Check-in: From 24 hours before departure until 75 minutes before departure.
